Suara Adedeji Adediran, 74, of Middletown, CT, passed away on November 11, 2022, after a brief battle with Glioblastoma. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Olusola Abeni Adediran, their children (Adekemi, Ayodeji, Adeyemi, and Adegoke) and their families, as well as grandchildren, siblings, and extended family.

Born on January 27, 1948, in Oyo State, Nigeria, Suara earned a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Ibadan in 1973, followed by a PhD in 1979. He completed postdoctoral training at various international institutions, including the University of Alberta and the University of Kansas.

Suara was a Professor of Chemistry and Department Head at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, until 1999, before relocating to Middletown, CT, where he became a Senior Research Fellow and Visiting Professor at Wesleyan University. He also taught at other Connecticut institutions, including Quinnipiac University and Fairfield University.

A Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Suara co-authored 55 research papers, publishing his final work shortly before his passing. Known for his mentorship, philanthropy, chess skills, and devotion to family and faith, he is deeply missed by his loved ones and community.
